Wild Leek River with Opener Gregory Stovetop

Wild Leek River started in Burlington Vermont in 2017. Honing their chops at the local Honky-Tonk Tuesday, Wild Leek River began by playing country classics popularized by outlaw legends such as Waylon Jennings and Merle Haggard. It wasn't long before singer, Ian Stonerook started to insert his own material, and the band took a sharp turn towards roots-rock'n'roll. A heavy blues influence also found its way into the sound. This isn't surprising considering that half of the founding members (Ian Stonerook and Gavin Greenwalt) originally met through playing in the Burlington stoner metal band, Acid Roach. As Wild Leek River prepares to record their first album they continue to explore the connections between country, blues, and rock'n'roll.

Gregory Stovetop is a true talent—a mix of 80’s rock and southern flair, with thoughtful songwriting.

“The national release of “The Good Stuff” by Gregory Stovetop marks the official launch of Higher Grounds Trading Co’s foray into co-production and promotion of cultural creatives through collaborative projects with the aims to build sustainability to artists and their craft. We begin with a powerful musician grown strong in the fields of Earthwork Music. His music and his careful craft are sublime. —Chris Treter
