Jackson Whalan Live Band

Jackson Whalan is a lyricist and producer from The Berkshires, MA, creating classic hip-hop with a modern flair to invoke positive societal change. Jackson has toured nationally, opening for artists such as Moon Hooch and others, and has also performed at the United Nations Headquarters on multiple occasions in honor of the International Day of Peace. Jackson graduated from The New School in New York City in 2013, and has since had a blossoming career in music, working with a wide range of artists from Mr. Lif to Dave Eggar and many more. You may have seen him appear as the S.N.A.G. (Sensitive New Age Guy) alter-ego with his widely acclaimed music video, an exposition of his comical side. Joining Jackson for this show is Jules Jenssen on drums, Brian Ross on bass guitar, Ian Evans on keys, Ian Stewart on trumpet, and Tyler Gasek on saxophone. You can expect a heavy blend of hip-hop and jazz fusion grooves, which become the soundtrack to thought provoking, heartfelt lyricism. Plus, you never know, Jackson might have to pull out his secret sauce and freestyle on-the-spot.
